On August 5th and 6th the Concord Kung Fu Academy team participated in an invitational International Competition and Exhibition in Xuwen, China, under the Plum Blossom International Federation. The CKFA team brought home five Gold Medals. Overall the Plum Blossom team comprised of the Concord Kung Fu Academy, Doc Fai Wong Martial Arts Center, Easternways, Golden Dragon Martial Arts Center, Hung Sing UK, Tiger Kung Fu and White Dragon Schools brought home a grand total of 63 medals: 45 gold, 12 silver and 6 bronze.

The competition was held outdoors in the evenings due to the extreme heat and humidity and to provide access to the general populace. Sifu Lengyel was the first representative of the Plum Blossom Federation to compete doing the Double Daggers form. This video clip also covers the opening of the competition.
