Great Grandmaster Hu Yuen Chou

Dr. Hu Yuen Chou was Grandmaster Doc-Fai Wong's second teacher. Hu Yuen Chou studied from Chan Ngau-Sing, the most famous student and successor of Jeong Yim. Hu Yuen Chou studied from Chan Ngau-Sing from the age of nine in Fut San, the Hung Sing schools' headquarters.

Dr. Hu Yuen Chou also spent twenty years studying under Chan Yiu-Chi, Chan Heung's grandson, becoming one of his most advanced pupils. He, together with three other advanced pupils were nicknamed the "Four Kings of Heaven" because of their great kung fu ability.

The heritage we receive from Dr. Hu Yuen Chou, gives us both the Fut San and King Mui branches of Choy Li Fut.

Hu Yuen Chou was considered one of the highest level grandmasters of Choy Li Fut and Tai Chi Chuan. His teachings continue to live through his most outstanding senior student, Grandmaster Doc-Fai Wong, who has extended his teachings to Sifu Evelina Lengyel.
